    • How does Cleartrade work?

      Cleartrade is a company that works with selected local tradespeople who have been vetted and meet our stringent quality standards. Tradespeople may either be directly employed by Cleartrade or are contracted to work with Cleartrade.

    • How can you work out what is wrong before you get here?

      The issues encountered by customers tend to be similar for the most part. The computer vision software quote analysis is pretty accurate, but sometimes we do a human review also.

    • I need to change the scheduled time. How can I do this?

      Yes, you can change your scheduled service request by clicking on the link in the email. Availability is subject to change so we recommend that you book as early as possible to secure your time slot.

    • I know what is wrong and I just need someone to come and fix it

      That's great, that's what we like to hear. Whilst we don't doubt your competence, there are occassions when the customer analysis isn't correct. We would like you to be patient whilst our tradesperson analyses the issue and fixes it if he or she can do so.

    • There's something wrong but I don't know what it is.

      That is why we are here. Our experienced workers may be able to identify the cause of the issue from his or her experience. In some rare cases this may require a repeat visit or extended time slot but for the most part our system automatically allocates additional time for analysis during the quote process.

    • Where is Cleartrade based?

      We are continuously expanding our workforce and thus our serviceable areas. Our office is based in Wimbledon, London and our tradespeople are based mostly in SW London.

    • If your prices are competitive why are they higher for me?

      Our prices are extremely competitive if you are based in our serviceable areas (SW19, SW20, KT2, KT3). If we have to send one of our tradespeople to travel to your location and it takes hours, we will compensate him or her for the travel time incurred.

    • I manage a commercial property, do you service those as well?

      Yes, we offer competitive maintenance service agreements that are available on a quarterly/semi-annual and annual basis and we service commercial services to the same standard as our offering for residential properties.

    • Do you offer residential service plans for homes?

      Yes, we have annual service agreements that we offer our residential customers in our serviceable areas that are paid monthly or quarterly. These start at £200 a month and include call outs and some parts. Please contact us for more details.

    • How long does it take for my quote to be generated?

      In most cases the video input from your quote is analysed within 5 to 25 minutes. Ideally, if you are able to explain (1) what is wrong, (2) show or explain what the fixed outcome should be, (3) keep the video short and succint - the analysis will be quicker. It is also important to ensure there is adequate lighting otherwise the video quality will be reduced.
